Zoning Protection

The beauty and history of Shandon are protected by a level of zoning protection called Community Character Overlay. Under this level of protection, demolition and relocation of structures 50 years or older and new construction on newly subdivided lots are reviewed. This protection does not apply to commercial properties. 

Yard of the Month

Shandon has a Yard-of-the-Month program to honor the many homes in the neighborhood with beautiful yards.  A yard is chosen each month by a group of volunteers.  To nominate a yard or to learn more about the program, click here.
